Today has been an amazing day to be in God's house! Started with 2 baptisms, God's house filled with voices worshiping together, Lord's supper, 5 people came forward to join the church (4 to be baptized and 1 to join by letter from another church) and ended the day with a fabulous ice cream social. I could really see God working and it made the day fabulous!

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
Just re-sharing this since it's coming up on Saturday! There's also a parade in Elizabethtown at 10am, if that helps with your travel plans. (Sorry, I don't know the parade route. I always miss this parade because it's the same day we have the Food Pantry each year. I do know that the North Hardin Marching Band will be there!)
At Mill Creek, you can sponsor Donna Dowell or Teena Miracle. Speak to Donna Dowell for more information or if you would like to walk too!
Our condolences to our dear sister Cindy Adonetto on the loss of her mother. We enjoyed having Mrs. Louise in our services when she was able to attend. https://www.chismfamilyfunerals.com/notices/Louise-Clark
Good morning! It's Tuesday already! Monday rolled in like a nosy neighbor ... you know, that one who barges in without knocking, comments on the state of your pedicure and your kitchen floor, then asks to borrow that last cup of brown sugar that you have AND a bread tin before disappearing for another week. Will she bring you a slice of whatever she needed the brown sugar for? No. But if Monday was an annoying "friend," Tuesday was a spouse home from deployment with muddy boots (that you don't even object to). I'm not going to comment on the magnitude of my water bill; suffice it to say that this rain is quite welcome. Greg's hot pepper project is turning into an expensive hobby! These beauties will probably be featured in his contribution to the Chili Cookoff that the youth have planned for October 20. We're planning a "Friends and Family" day here at Mill Creek on September 22. Invite your friends, neighbors, and family members! There will be Gospel music and then a dinner after morning worship (details to come, but it'll be an "organized potluck"). Even sooner, we have an Ice Cream Social planned for August 25 after Youth Bible Study and the Ladies' Bible Study. Bring your games at 6pm! We are hoping for some folks to do homemade ice cream (hint, hint) but store-bought is also fine. There will be a sign-up sheet in the lobby so we don't have everyone bringing the same toppings! Speaking of toppings, if you have managed to get to the bottom of this post, please comment below: What do you call the little chocolate or multi-colored "things" that you sprinkle on top of ice cream? I'll tell you what we call them, but I know there are many other names!
Usually I share pictures from our clip-art subscription. But today I would like to share a photo from my missionary friend, Judy Bowen, who has lived and worked in Togo for decades. She is one of the only people that I know personally who has seen Victoria Falls, a place that I would love to visit. What an awesome display! What is a place that you've always wanted to visit? Comment below!

Attention to all of Mill Creek! On Friday, August 16th at 6:30pm at Springdale Church in Louisville, KY, they are going to have the premiere of the new movie Catching Faith 2!!! Our very own Glenda and Tom Emberton and Emily Ramsey (Tabitha's daughter) are going to be in the movie!!!! Andrea said that she would love to pack the place with all those involved plus friends and family as well. All the stars will be there to watch the movie as well and will probably do a question and answer session after the movie. The red carpet will be at 6:30pm and the movie will begin at 7:30pm. If you need directions, let me (Ann) know and I will tell you. Wouldn't it be great to be able to support our very own stars???!!!
